Canadian Comedy Award recipient Briane Nasimok, has been telling stories from an early age, a talent he primarily used in those days to get out of trouble.
Canadian Comedy Award recipient, Briane Nasimok, remounts his critically acclaimed show inspired by his first career – as a non-singing performer with the Canadian Opera Company. Over a seven-year period Briane appeared in roles ranging from a “Nubian Slave” to an “Elegant Gentlemen”, logging 287 performances without singing a note.

A compendium of a series of Briane’s favourite stories, that he submitted for the Ottawa Fringe Festival.
Due to Covid, he had to create a 50-minute presentation, incorporating previous pre-shot videos and videoing stories in his back yard.
The presentation is always available for Festivals, theatre productions or fund-raising events.

When Briane submitted “Confessions of an Operatic Mute” to the Hamilton Fringe, he added a second submission “Izzy and the Naz”, an hour of stories, sharing the stage with his former Theatresports Improvisational teammate Izzy Ferguson.

Participating for the fourth time at this Festival, in association with Tales Toronto and Storytelling Toronto, Briane curated and hosted Funny You Should Tell That – an evening featuring six other fantastic artists.
