BUT THAT’S ANOTHER STORY

For almost five years, Briane and Christel Bartelse offered a monthly storytelling showcase, starting at the Free Times Café and moving to the historic Rivoli.

Featuring over 100 performers, it was one of the most successful storytelling events in Toronto.  A “best of” show was recorded during Covid for  inclusion the Toronto Fringe Festival.

Bartelse and Nasimok tie the segments together with introductions, jokes, and the heartfelt reminder that personal storytelling is so important for empathy and human connection, especially during times of isolation. These stories made me laugh, and they made me reflect. They focused on life, performance, comedy, and getting through it all. For those interested in storytelling and comedy, this is a show for you.
